Lane Roberts, President and Chief Executive OfficerMr. Roberts was previously the Managing Director of Sondex plc ("Sondex"), a UK based leading supplier of downhole technologies to the oil and gas industry from 2004 to 2008. With the purchase of Sondex by General Electric, Roberts spent the last 12 months ensuring a smooth integration of Sondex into GE Energy, a division of General Electric. Prior to that, Mr. Roberts served in various senior management roles at Computalog, USA which later became a division of Precision Drilling Ltd. Blair Layton, Vice-President and Chief Financial OfficerBorn and raised in Taber Alberta, Blair learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity growing up on his parent’s farm. After obtaining his Bachelors of Commerce degree he articled with the Price Waterhouse in Calgary. Although he enjoyed the broad spectrum of the clientele he worked with, Blair wanted to see the fruits of his labors and shortly after receiving his Chartered Accountant designation entered into industry, the oil and gas service industry, as Controller of Whipstock Systems Inc., After spending 6 years with Whipstock the company was sold to a competitor and Blair decided to enter the fast paced Venture Capital world of Merchant banking. During the few years his days were spent creating 5 companies, 3 subsidiaries, as well as completing 2 reverse takeovers of publicly traded NASDAQ companies. Starting as CFO of the organization, he was quickly promoted to COO/CFO and later to Director – Special Projects within the organization. Blair returned to the Directional Drilling industry as a founding partner of Radius Directional Services, a privately held directional drilling company with the same passion and enthusiasm he had left the industry with years prior, but with a new and expanded perspective of business and used this increased knowledge to help this new start-up become one the premier Directional Companies in the industry. After Radius was sold Blair began working with Focus Directional Services and he and his partners spent the next 5 years building the Company. Enseco Purchased Focus in 2009 and Blair brings all his past experience and knowledge to this new venture.
Kent Devlin, P. Eng., MBA Vice-President of OperationsMr. Devlin has overall responsibility of Enseco’s field operations. He is a professional engineer with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Manitoba, and an MBA from the University of Calgary. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA). Prior to joining Enseco, Mr. Devlin has in excess of 20 years experience in the oil service industry all with Computalog, Precision and Weatherford. He has held numerous leadership and operations positions in Canada and the United States, primarily in the areas of wireline and directional drilling services. Most recently with Weatherford, Mr. Devlin was responsible for all of their sales, engineering, and technical support for drilling services in Canada. Kim B. Jespersen, C.R.S.P. Vice President - EH&S/HRMr. Jespersen holds the overall responsibility of the Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety and Human Resource processes. He has more than 26 years of extensive experience in exploration, production, operational, and municipal emergency medical service management. Mr. Jespersen holds a professional designation with the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals, and had a 25-year career with Petro-Canada starting in 1980. He supported various facets for Petro-Canada, including facilities, drilling, major sour gas plants, environmental health and safety, stakeholder and community affairs interaction (including First Nations), and oil sands. Most recently, Mr. Jespersen held the position of Manager Environment, Health and Safety at Harvest Energy Trust. |
